- Hand washing is recommended; machine washing only on a wool or hand-wash programme at cold or max. 30 °C with a steady temperature and a low spin of 400–500 rpm
- Needs a pH-neutral wool detergent without enzymes
- Must not be tumble dried, dried on a radiator, wrung, rubbed or soaked; squeeze in a towel, pull into shape and dry flat
- Sold by body height in centimetres rather than by age
- Undyed wool batches vary in tone from one harvest year to the next
