Where to buy it
Notes
- Contains 90 g of a mix of flowers, herbs and plant powders chosen for antibacterial, drying and astringent properties
- Ingredients stated as certified organic by their suppliers and hand-harvested in France, apart from the cinnamon
- Composition described as 100% vegan
- Handmade in small batches
- Page gives step-by-step instructions for preparing the placenta and how often to repeat the application
- The herb and flower mix can also be used as a yoni steam from the fifth day postpartum, after a midwife's approval
- Weighs 125 g, so easy to keep with the rest of the birth kit
Good to know
- Salt is not included and must be added: the page specifies Himalayan pink salt, generously, at least three times a day
- Cloths (nappy squares), towels and a placenta container are not included
- The mix must be reapplied to every side of the placenta repeatedly — at least four times the first day, three the second, twice from the third onwards, until it detaches in 3 to 8 days
- For external use only on the placenta, never on the baby or on the cord at the baby's end
- For a large placenta or in damp weather, the maker recommends the larger 'Essentiel' kit to avoid running short during the first week
- Not edible
- Contains sage, whose internal use the page advises against while breastfeeding is being established
